January 2026 – Aker Technology, a global manufacturer of innovative, competitively priced frequency control products, announces the release of its new TX16 ultra-miniature temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) series. The TX16 delivers industry-leading frequency stability, low power consumption, and high signal quality, all in a footprint substantially smaller than typical (2016/2520) devices.
Designed in an ultra-small package (1.6 × 1.2 mm), the TX16 optimizes board space for electronics used in high-density PCB designs for wearables, GNSS modules, IoT, and other applications, while delivering ultra-low power consumption ideal for battery-powered and portable devices. It also offers high temperature stability and precision (up to ±0.5 ppm over temperature), low phase noise and jitter for reliable timing and synchronization, and wide, customizable frequency coverage.
With electronics trending toward ever-smaller form factors, lower power budgets, and higher integration, timing solutions must evolve accordingly. The new TCXO series addresses these demands, providing stable, precise timing in the smallest footprint possible, without compromising performance.
