Aker Receives EcoVadis Award

Aker Technology Awarded EcoVadis Bronze Medal for Sustainability Excellence

Aker Technology is proud to announce that it has recently been awarded the Bronze Medal from EcoVadis, a globally renowned platform that assesses organizations based on environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria. This award recognizes Aker’s commitment to corporate sustainability and underscores its dedication to advancing sustainability in key areas, including environmental stewardship, labor and human rights, business ethics, and procurement.

To obtain this prestigious award, EcoVadis has defined 21 sustainability criteria based on international development standards. Among these 21 criteria, EcoVadis selects the relevant ones for the company being assessed based on their specific challenges and geographical location. The score, which ranges from 0-100, reflects the quality of a company’s sustainability management system at the time of the assessment. The medals awarded recognize eligible companies that have completed the EcoVadis assessment process and demonstrated a relatively strong management system that addresses sustainability criteria.

“This recognition reflects Aker’s continuous efforts to integrate ESG principles into its operations while aligning with international sustainability standards and contributing to a better future for all stakeholders. We are very proud to have earned this distinction,” said Allan Y. L. Lin, Chairman & CEO.

The EcoVadis assessment results in an overall score that determines the level of recognition a company receives. Award levels range from Platinum to Bronze. Bronze is awarded to companies in the top 35% of all rated companies in the EcoVadis database over the previous 12 months. The percentile rank is calculated across all companies in all industries, not per industry.
